The Friends of Studham Common were formed on the initiative of Studham Parish Council in 1997. Our aim is to care for the Common for the benefit of people and wildlife.

We are an informal and friendly group and you don’t have to live in Studham to be welcome! Indeed many of our most loyal members travel some distance to join our activities. As well as our regular work parties we organise social events, an annual outing and occasional ‘walks and talks’ with a wildlife theme. Membership is free and all members receive our monthly newsletter by email or post.

Through our affiliation with Central Bedfordshire Council and other organisation in the Chilterns, we also offer opportunities to learn about local wildlife and gain new skills. These range from dormouse monitoring, wildlife surveying and hedgelaying to brushcutter and First Aid training.

We warmly welcome new members of all ages and support of all kinds. This ranges from practical conservation work, to help with events, to keeping this website up to date! Join us any time to help keep the Common beautiful for everyone.
